This was another beer that I picked up in International Falls, when I went through there a few months back. Never had anything from Klockow before, nor had I heard of them, and this was a typical Cream Ale that was light all-around, plenty sweet, and easy to enjoy as this also held up well while I was on the road!
Not a surprise that this poured light, gold, and had enough bubbles in it throughout. A nice head topped this off as the lacing left behind was in the form of thin rings along the top half of my pint glass. Lots of cream, grass, and some adjunct in the nose as the taste closely followed suit. Corn, tortilla, and light bread emerged once this fully warmed up with a bit of tangy citrus and deep hops underneath everything, as this was an easy drinker without a lot of depth to it.
No date was written on the bottom of the can although this felt fresh and true to stylistic form. A bit soapy and slightly cloying, this wasn't a complete pushover but it would be easy to quaff a few in a setting and not feel watered-down. The label was fitting for a beer that could fill in for PBR or Genesee Cream when needed!
