Pours a hazy copper and golden color. No real head to speak and small tannin like chunks of lace on the glass.
Aroma has some toffee notes, medicinal alcohol hints and a resined and floral hop note. Some bready yeast tones also emerge as it warms.
Flavor is rich, chewy caramel malt with some spicy yeast undertones. Just a nip of a spicy yeast is felt before a long gradually descending bitterness finishes it off.
Mouthfeel is surprisingly light for a big ABV beer but the sweetness is cut just enough by spiced yeast and fruity bitterness to make a solid drink.
Drinkability is above average. Can't really find the high ABV here, which is not necessarily bad , beer seems a little too smooth and light, not a lot of character.
