Our 1st anniversary beer is an imperial stout with Black Rooster Maple Syrup (Keene ValleyADKs) Kru cold brewed coffee and Madagascar vanilla beans. Flavors of roasted dark malts, oatmeal, bold coffee and velvety sweet vanilla dominate.

Looks fantastic in the glass with 2 finger toffee head. Aroma is straight up coffee and slight milk chocolate. Taste is mostly coffee, bitter coffee. A tad bit of oatmeal trying to punch through but not enough to smooth the rough edges of this stout. Maple syrup is mostly unnoticeable on the nose and tongue yet somehow the aftertaste is a duel of bitterness and sweetness. Sweetness wins out as beer warms.
Decent imperial stout.
Purchased Aug 2019 for 2018 anniversary.
Barrel aged is expected for 2nd anniversary. I think it should help.
