I guess all the bad reviews may have played a part in me buying a 6pk of this for a tinkle under four clams at my local Gross Out. I was pleasantly surprised by this balanced, if not particularly interesting, American IPA. It's not overtly bitter, like a Sierra Nevada IPA, which I appreciate. This beer has some nice floral hop aromas, and drinks nice from really cold to nearly room temp with a pleasantly bitter aftertaste.

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This decent AIPA pours a lightly
cloudy amber tinged golden with a nice head of white foam that
subsides to a thick ring, thin light pool, and displays some very nice
sudsy lacing. Nose of pine, grapefruit, and subtle honey malts with
a touch of grain. Flavors follow the nose with mild honey malts with
assertive pine and grapefruit zest heavy hop notes among some
subtle grain notes. Nice mouth feel; medium light body, sticky
hop resin that lightly coats, medium light carbonation, and a
lightly dry pine and citrus laden finish.
Nothing to hate here, not sure about why all the hate, I am no
hop head but can enjoy one from time to time and this brew
made by Rivertown is solid for what it is.
Cheers

Slightly hazy gold with thick fluffy head. Faint smells of hops (pine and citrus) and malt. Unusual hops flavor. Another reviewer compared it to lemon pledge and I'm inclined to agree with the chemical comparison. Maybe a little lemon pledge mixed in with pinesol. It has that soapy kind of bitterness present in a lot of perfectly good IPAs, but it's much too strong here. The soapiness lingers in the aftertaste, leaving a not-so-great lasting impression. It's not SO incredibly far off from a decent hopp-y beer experience, it's just...off. Maybe the hops were old when they were used, maybe that used a hop that's only fit for bittering. Either way, it's not good. Really simple and one sided too.

It is not often that I experience a beer this utterly dreadful. I am not sure how this gets a public release. It’s strongest note seems the be lemon scented Pledge. At least it smells off putting enough to provide a fair warning of what is about to hit the tongue. It did drain nicely into my sink.

Not sure what's going on with this beer or what it's relationship is with the long time brewer "Rivertown"...but this is a misfire... Slight haze (which I like) but all downhill after that...stale flavor and unpleasant after-taste. C'mon guys!

Poured from 12 oz bottle into chilled glass mug. Average amber colour with a soapy off white head. Not much smell, slight hops and maybe a little citrus. Tastes kinda skunky for an IPA, not much else going on flavourwise except for a stale hop aftertaste that lingers. I'm not saying that this beer is terrible, but I'm also not saying this beer is good, because it's not. Maybe average at best. It was on sale for $3.99. Next time I'll spend the extra money and get something enjoyable.

Very, very disappointed in this beer. Like every other reviewer has pointed out, this beer will not stop foaming. Every sip is a foaming monstrosity that's virtually undrinkable. I have never been so disappointed in a beer in my life. After drinking just one beer, I'm already sick of it. I will be staying away from any products by Iron Line Brewing.

Interested to try this since it seems to be made in collaboration with river town brewing.
A: Hazy and little head.
S: Lightly hoppy with grapefruit, and citrus, light tangerine, and something else in the finish....
T: Grapefruit, a touch metallic and a flavor I can only describe as 'dogbreath' with a funky acidic thing in the finish.
M: Medium thin, with very high carbonation. Unpleasant.
O: Yeah, this is a let down. Not good. Don't waste you money.

Look - You can't pour this beer all at once, head just grows way to much. Other then that the color looks good, golden amber color with a slightly off white head
smell - slight pine smell but cant smell much
taste - slight pine here as well but not much else
feel - way to over carbonated
overall - not good

Good light gold color with lots of white cap, a few demerits for over foaming.
Light piney, citrusy (grapefruit) scent, with a touch of malt in the background.
Taste on entry is hop forward but not aggressively so, rather mild actually while still retaining elements of citrus sharpness and pine resin firmness. Some malt weaves in and about but is shy about speaking out loud. Flavors are consistent and last into the aftertaste.
Rather light texture, enough to get it past thin but not by far, with balancing carbonation.
It's got the stuff we associate with the style but in a reduced sense, kinda like a junior varsity IPA.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a copper color with an extremely large white head that disrupts and ruins the beer experience. couldn't get past the foam overload.

Like some other reviewers have stated, it won't stop foaming. Worse, it tastes like beer coming back up, if you get my drift. There were two leftover bottles in the fridge that I took out today to pitch. The second one I opened sprayed me with its nasty tasting foam. Even if it was a bad batch, it left a bad taste in my mouth, pun fully intended.
Will not purchase this one again.
