The look of the bottle is great, but don't let this bottle fool you. I decided to get something local and I realized how much of a mistake that was. The taste of this ale makes my tastebuds scream in agony. The aftertaste makes me think I'm just downing cough syrup. I was excited for this ale but it was so bad that I went out and made an account to warn people.

A- deep golden brown color, low off white head low retention
A- low aroma for dipa. Sweet grain with touch of alcohol and touch of honey too
F- full bodied with caramel to bread malt body medium bitterness and earthy hop flavor.
MF- best part of this beer. Honey adds a low slickness with medium carb finishing low stickiness.
OI- good to almost great beer that packs a big punch with flavor and mouthfeel. It needs more aroma for sure and is probably better fresher than the one I had which seemed a little stale.

Had Imperial Honey, currently contract-brewed at Lazy Magnolia, poured from 12-oz. bottle, with old-fashioned label date codes un-notched, into tulip pint.

Pours deep amber, with clarity and 1- to 2-finger very light-tan head, leaving big chunky lace down the glass. Malty sweet (honey) aroma, and some clean and a bit fruity (citrusy) hops as warms. A bit of carbonation and classic IPA malts get this beer started, then big sweet honey flavor takes over, finally giving way just enough to allow a slightly-drying, biting hop finish.

Admittedly, honey beers are not my favorite, but this DIPA brewed with honey is highly drinkable, especially for only the second offering from Threefoot.
