Had Dark Sarcasm at Threefoot brewpub, Meridian, Miss., on draft into tumbler.
Pours (apparently) absolutely black with 1-finger-plus dark tan head, which has good retention and leaves drapes of lace etched down the glass. Aroma of dry cocoa and lightly-roasted coffee off pour, then sweet chocolate, with coffee aroma increasing and joined by some grassy hops and a little dark fruit as warms. Begins sweet malts and chocolate over a creamy body, buoyed by moderate carbonation, then medium roast coffee arrives over a little dark fruit, with the coffee carrying into a bit fruity, modestly biting hoppy finish.
If you like stouts and drink your coffee black and sweet, you will like this beer.
