A: Typical for the brewery, pours a muddled orange color. A one finger white head forms but recedes to nothing in a minute. No lace is left behind.
S: A bit of butter, yep I do get diacetyl. Though, up front and fades quickly. Then some pine and grapefruit. Not much of a finish after that.
T: A bit more "juicy" with only a touch of a buttery character. Grapefruit, pine, very light bitterness. Not much else. Just and OK IPA.
M/O: A muddled body, with no definition. Man, I wish there was more carbonation, instead of this "soft" BS. Pretty inoffensive for the most part. Though certainly not among the better DIPA's in the Houston area.
So far, everything they have done IPA wise, has been a carbon copy. Unless they add ridiculous additives/flavorings. This one particular has a bit of buttery diacetyl. Maybe that will be cleaned up going forward, but just not worth the hype I have heard about and read.
