Poured from a can. Dark brown. Juicy cherry and toasty brown ale wort notes on the nose. Zesty carbonation and malty. Caramel, golden syrup, toasty grains, a big sweet stout overall. Cold press and mocha notes.

Received from @r0rschach in a BIF box. Canned on 4/15/2019. Poured into a tulip glass. It pours an oily, inky black with a half finger of creamy, light mocha head and a thin sheen of creamy lacing. The head is long-lasting for such a high ABV beer. It's an elegant pour. On the nose there is burnt malt, earthy char, bakers chocolate, and faint whiffs of vanilla and dark fruit. The latter become more pronounced as the glass warms. When first sipped, there is a lot of black cherry and currant. The malt and char is secondary which is unusual. I'm also tasting dark chocolate. It finishes with significant bitterness. This Stout has a rich, creamy, viscous mouth feel with moderate carbonation, and there is no escaping the 14% ABV which is warming to say the least. This may be the sweetest RIS I've ever had. It would be pair well with a sandwich with cured meat such as corned beef or pastrami. It also makes an ideal dessert beer.
