Quarantine day fifty two: 16 oz. can courtesy of megadeph on deck after a long walk, long nap, lots of rain, & the start of clearing out the “beer box” room. So much fun.
The pour is black with a healthy, but not insanely improbable, head that forces one to devote most of an evening to getting it into a glass (see: Birthday Two). The nose is very sweet, malts + chocolate.
Cookies & Cream is like mainlining Oreos with chocolate chip filling that have been dipped in chocolate. Holy sweetness. Raw, overpowering sweetness, this is NE IPA version of a stout. Chocolate, touch of marshmallow, & raw black sugar for kilometers; & thick. I should have shared this with my wife.
Ingenious is either going for something I don’t understand, or they are incredibly erratic. This is better than the other two beers I’ve had from them, but still barely clears the Bar of Mediocrity. Pretty good.

So only tried a 5 ounce pour to get a taste. Poured pitch black but difficult to judge retention and lacing. Very sweet aroma. Chocolate, cookies, very little roastiness. Same goes with taste. Medium to heavy bodied with mild carbonation.
