Possibly the thickest pouring tar black stout I've ever seen--and that's saying something--so much so that I didn't think it was going to build a head...but then it began looking like a time lapse of a baking muffin until the dense, creamy mocha head started spilling over the edge. The tall puffy chocolate muffin batter head retains super thick and uniformly level for a long while, slowly settling to a creamy blanket leaving layers of seismic waves on the glass.
Feel is also supremely thick with a super creamy carbonation, delivering smooth, but only mildly sweet chocolate, with a faintly popping accent of bright raspberry. Carbonation lifts notes of roasted nut, and a little heat comes out on the round yet somehow unimaginably semi-dry finish.
One thing I don't get though is barrel. However, the mouthfeel alone on this beer is enough to elevate it way past so many other pastry stouts with way higher renown, it's hard to begrudge it.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
