Love the black IPA style - this one is good but not great.
Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Nice looking beer with a creamy, persistent head and nice curtain lacing. Clear dark brown color. Smell is nice and citrusy. The taste is not as bold as I would like., subdued are the roasted malt flavors. A bit thin for the style as well.

Really smooth for something called an IPA, along with a more viscous feel. I really liked it. I’d think of it as a more bitter brown ale, both roast and hop bitter but well shy of most IPAs.

Pour is black with a beige head. Good lacing and retention; visually appealing beer.
Nose is a bit of piney, mint. Resin.
Taste is muddled, watery with hints of pine, and mint.
Not great.
