Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours orange yellow with a small white head. Smells of citrus and earthy hops, very sweet, with nice grain. Tastes of citrus hops with earthy notes, and oat grain sweetness. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Maybe it's because the can I had was three days past release and uber fresh is critical to this beer (but I seriously doubt it). Or, maybe its because fresh local IPA has become nearly synonymous with hazy NEIPA (but I seriously doubt it as their are many excellent exceptions).

But damned if this isn’t one of the best IPAs I’ve had in a long long time.

Definitely in the WC IPA protocol; in fact, reminds me a great deal of pre-Green Flash Alpine Duet. And that’s super high praise.

Suspect all that means is that this beer will never be rated as highly as the NEIPA soup du jour.

Yes: the label is boring. And yup, the name forgettable. Fortunately the beer is anything but. Well done Rocket Frog!

Poured from tallboy. Clear golden, not much head. Mostly malt on the nose. Subtle taste -- some citrus and stone fruit and malt, don't taste the pineapple from the marketing. Crisp feel, with almost a pilsner end.
