This is a rich, roasty, balanced stout with sweet biscuit aromas and dark chocolate and coffee flavours. Oats give the beer a creamy head and smooth, rich body.

The route out of prison is an obstacle course: release means rebuilding family relationships, finding jobs, securing housing and readjusting to freedom. Tap Social supports this crucial transition from INSIDE OUT, offering fairly paid employment and continuity during and after prison.

Can. Almost black. Thick, light tan, frothy head. Lacing.
A green and pleasant toasty smell. Coffee grounds, digestive biscuit, fudge and ash tray.
A well roasted potato flavour along with a rather harsh bitter chocolate taste.
Moderate to full bodied with little carbonation.
I would expect an oatmeal stout to provide more smoothness.

330ml Can

Look: Pours pitch black with a small dark beige head, which soon disappears to nothing.

Smell: Biscuit, coffee, roasted malt.

Taste: Toasty, chocolate, coffee with quite a dry bitter finish.

Feel: As with stouts around this ABV range, it's a little thin but still manages to be creamy and smooth.

Overall: A decent, easy drinker with good flavours coming though. The bitterness at the end is lovely too.
