Enjoyed on tap at the brewery grand opening today.
A - Poured into a standard pint glass a murky golden gray. Super dense two finger head that fades to leave super thick lacing and blanket. If not for the color this would be pretty solid. An ugly duckling? For anyone reading this who knows me, an appearance description similar to this for me has occurred once before with a new brewery...and that was the very first batch of Julius.
S - Aromas of spicy pine, citrus, tangerine, light dank notes, flashes of candy orange peel, little bit of malts. Pretty solid.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice citrus peel, orange zest, light juice, spicy hops, pine, little malts. Kind of a hodgepodge but it works.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, little creamy, solid.
O - Overall this was a solid enough New England ipa. It's beyond murky though.
