Pours an impenetrable black with a finely textured tan head fades fairly quickly to a slight ring of lingering foam Aroma of toasted malt with a bit of char and a whisper of smoke. Taste follows suit - big roasted grain flavor with hints of dark chocolate and again, that light wispy smokiness. A twinge of hops lingers on the tongue after swallowing. Mouthfeel is right in the middle - not too thin, but not too creamy either. All in all, I think this is a well made and tasty stout. I'm enjoying it!
