this is a really unique place, its an italian restaurant on the high end side, with wood fired pizzas, an extensive wine list, and a robust cocktail program, its fancyish and its in downtown napa, but they also make beer, which seems like somewhat of a theme around town. they have a very modest system set up on the side towards the back of the place, if i didnt notice it, i would have never known they were a brewery at all, they dont promote themselves as such at all, which sort of adds to the mystery and allure of it for me. for one, the pizza i had in here was epic, seriously some of the best pie ive ever eaten. i had some quality appetizers, and make sure you get the spicy olive oil for the crust, i want more right now! amazing pizza, cant say enough about it. they had only a couple house beers on tap, and i only had one, called beppa, an all organic (i think they all are in here) ipa type, very pale and dry and clean, i think made with wet hops too, really pleasant beer, floral and easy drinking without a lot of bitterness. a light body and great carbonation. its cool they are all organic. they definitely arent bragging about the beer, wine and cocktails are the focus. service is like a fine dining experience rather than a brewery taproom, which is halfway between stoic and warm, but professional all the way. dont go here and not eat. the beer is good, but the food is all time!
