16 ounce can into a snifter. Canned 5/2/19, had 7/3/19.
Pours near black and opaque, with a half inch foamy head and a decent amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, cocoa, toffee. The flavor starts with lots of chocolate, then roasted malt, vanilla, cocoa, light coconut and caramel. Smooth, fairly creamy, a very good full body, well carbonated.
Lots of delicious chocolate, the coconut is well integrated but not showy by any means, well balanced. Very enjoyable. Worth a purchase.

a tasty wintery strong porter here, but a beer that doesnt benefit it all from its strength, its boozy almost to the point of it thinning this out some, and its distracting in a beer that might otherwise be somewhat subtle in the right ways, i find the alcohol obnoxious, even though i like the beer overall. the coconut isnt too much, and for me, both in aroma and flavor, its the chocolate in front of the coconut. the malt has some deep fudge to it, but the chocolate i taste in here is sweet and somewhat light, while the coconut has a nice toasted warmth to it, but doesnt turn this all tropical or anything. its natural for sure, and even quite softly dosed, obvious as it is, this doesnt drink forced or desserty, and i get some cool nuances of raisins and dates in here in the middle, even cola for a moment. its sweet at the end, but there is enough dark chocolate character now for this to be balanced, some bitterness from the roast too. a hint of good coffee with the mellow coconut on the swallow, a note of almond too maybe. really nice beer, but i wish it were 8% abv, the body would line up better, and it wouldnt be hot. other than that, well done, glad this isnt overdosed on the coconut. solid dark beers in here this time through!

Imperial porter, damn right, I'm pouring into a snifter.
The appearance was a sturdy dark brown really close to black in its color. A stifled tan foamy head swiftly glided off to leave some concave lace.
The aroma has a wonderful blend of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, coconut sweetness, subtle dark toast, some bitter cocoa nibs and some fudge notes.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side with noticeable sweet edges rolling into some bitter dark chocolate notes. Coconut is lean here. Subtle aftertaste of bitter roasty coffee to dark chocolatey notes.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Good carbonation and some roasty hits punching at my tongue. Finishes with some dark chocolate, dark toast and a wispy dry cocoa powdery substance.
Overall, I'd say a very nice imperial porter I'd love to have again.

I taste a lot of chocolate with a sweet coconut finish but not a ton of coconut flavor however, the 10.5% is pretty much invisible in this beer. Overall solid porter.

Murky dark-chocolate-brown , moderate, medium-tan head.
Aroma is toasted coconut, coconut creme, slight roasty cocoa powder. Essentially cocoa + sun tan lotion. (In a good way)
Flavor is much like aroma, but with the proportions reversed : chocolate liqueur (lightly sweet-ish) , cocoa (lightly bitter), a touch of roasted malt, and a little toasted coconut. A little bit of lingering bitterness , that keeps it from being too sweet.
Medium oily, with very fine carbonation.
Overall , quite good. I like that it stays on the drier side. It had the potential to be cloying, or artificial, but avoids that pitfall. Good job!
