Very strong coconut flavor, a little more than I would like, with hints of a chocolate flavor and considerable sweetness. The stout version of a Mounds bar. I would have preferred a little more bitterness.

Pours very dark brown , almost black, with a 1/2 finger of very fine tan head. Holding it up to the light shows some reddish-brown at the edges.
Smells of chocolate syrup, wet, decayed wood, and a slight hint of nuttiness (peanut butter?) , though there is none in it. Sniffing the open growler gives a definite cream smell, not apparent from the glass, in addition to the other aromas. As it warms I do get a little dry coconut aroma.
Taste is woody roasty malt, chocolate , and a slightly tangy creamy flavor. That combination reminds me of chocolate cream cheese icing/brownies/chocolate cheesecake made with some sour cream in the mix , though not quite as sweet. Maybe closer to unbaked batter, than the finished product. No distinct coconut flavor. Slight bitterness on the finish.
Feel is smooth, moderately oily, with light, very fine carbonation.
Overall, smooth, & easy-drinking. Not "Wow, but solid & enjoyable. Recommend it.
