from a can dated 04.10.19
Opaque pinkish-red, with one finger of quickly-dissipating pink head. Slight bit of lacing.
Smell is raspberry, creamsicle (tangerine+vanilla+cream) , peach, pineapple, mango, and a touch of sage & horehound.
Essentially : raspberry pie filling, but less sweet + the smell of Mosaic hops + lactose +the herbal element of Michigan Copper hops. The open can gives citrus + raspberry in about a 2/3 to 1/3 ratio. Guessing that's mostly Citra that's apparent.
Taste is raspberry, red grapefruit juice, Valencia (juice) orange, slightly unripe pineapple, lime rind, and the lightly bitter herbal flavor in the aroma (horehound with a touch of sage). Mildly sour, with light, orange-rind level of bitterness.
The overall impression is raspberry + lime .
Feel is medium, slightly oily, with very fine carbonation tingle, that coats the tongue from mid-drink to briefly past finish.
Overall, very enjoyable , and easy-drinking. Would love this on a hot summer day. Definitely worth a try.
If you're looking for a comparison to Funky Hop Sour, or Boysen Back In Town (BTBCs other sour NEIPAs) this is a little more bitter, and presents more citrus rind.
