16 oz can into a nonick pint glass.
L: SRM 3.5 pours a hazy yellow gold color with a 1" puffy off white head that has very good retention, light carbo, head goes to a pyramid with a center cap then later to edge foam with an island, medium-heavy backside lacing with bands.
S: Citrus, pineapple, a tropical fruit salad, caramelized malts with warming.
T: Sweet creamy whipped tropical fruits, soft caramel malts, rolled oats?, simple, gently rich tasting overall.
F: Very smooth like a creamcicle, semi-juicy medium to medium-heavy bodied mouthfeel with a smooth medium length finish that glides away.
O: Very tasty with almost a desert fruit taste. Exceptionally smooth drinking without a lot of aftertaste. Absolutely no trace of alcohol. I think this beer is outstanding in its style.

A: Poured from the can into a tulip glass. Body is very hazy golden with a half-finger of foamy white head on top.
S: Hops jump out of the glass - pineapple juice, ripe peach, and mango all show up, along with a touch of lemon.
T: Follows the nose, with pineapple/orange juice, ripe mango, a hint of apricot, blueberries, and melon rind. Finishes with a bit of sweetness and a slick bite of butterscotch that at first made me wonder if that's diacetyl, though I don't think so. Just lingering syrupy sweetness. Alcohol noted in the burps.
M: Slickness detracts from the overall experience. Medium in heft, low carbonation. The taste "sticks" to the back of your throat, lingers.
O: OK. Not the best I've had from Beer Tree, that's for sure. But drinkable.

the most conventional of their hazy beers we had in here, and also the least well refined in my opinion. i obviously like citra and mosaic together in beer like this, but this is both uninteresting and a bit raw, with some green hop burn coming on mid way and lasting through the swallow, it sits in the guts a little funny, and it drinks starchy and yeasty and heavy and unrefined, really could use some cleaning up, but its not bad, and if the more exotic varietals scare you, this should be comfortable anyway. my biggest criticism of this style over the years is that you cant just dry hop your problems away, this one is just an average, under attenuated brew that gets a heaping dose of nice hops and tries to pass as great beer, it may be trendy, but the quality is exposed a bit. i love the nose, how can you not, lemongrass and pineapple and green tea, very fresh, but its harsh in the flavor, the starchy grain makes too big an impact, and its hard to drink even a small glass of it, both filling and rough on the palate. the hops go a long way toward making this appealing, but if you strip that away, the fermentation here is unclean, the grain is heavy, and its just not that good. i taste this one for way too long when the glass is empty. i had higher hopes for this, being so stoked on a lot of their other hazy beers, but this one really could use some fine tuning. tasty citra and mosaic, but thats about all i can say for it...

Very thick and almost has an icy mouthfeel similar to their pineapple creamsicle beer.
