I saw this at Milk and Hops a few weeks back and was intrigued by the description on the can. Sure, I had enough beers from Tired Hands over the years, but would this be on par with my favorite offerings from them? Amazingly, it was as it wasn't quite like any American IPA that I've had before as this would have closely resembled a milkshake had it been a bit thicker and creamier.

Quite an appearance to this as this looked like strawberries and mangoes or bananas blended together effortlessly with ice cream in the fray to smooth out the hue. A head like meringue topped this off as it was not too large, but thin and bubbly as it softly settled. Lots of layered, soapy lacing was left behind as it was quite webbed and extensive all the way down the inside of my pint glass. Tons of strawberry, banana, earthy and topical fruit, and soft, succulent juice in the nose as the aroma had me hooked from the get-go. The taste followed suit as it was part fruit puree, part milkshake, part outdoorsy patch, and part fresh-squeezed juice. How was this an American IPA when it should have been in a class by itself?

Booze? Yeah, it's here but with so much smooth milky goodness going on here, you'd be hard-pressed to find it. Canned on 7/28 with "#CUTE AF" written above it, that was an apt description of this beer as the vanilla made this mysteriously flavorful and sweetly familiar at the same time. It's not often that something comes along and catches me by surprise but this did it, as I wanted another can as soon as I burned through this one. A bit of exotic Star and Jack fruit and hints of milky lactose and ice cream only left me wanting more, and completely wanting to see what else Beer Tree has to offer!
