If a dead tree falls in the forest, and there's nobody around to hear, does it make a sound? This thick, dense stout comprised of 7 different malts, Newport hops, and cold conditioned on Vanilla, Cocoa & Pecans is one Tree that is definitely going to make a sound.

Great offering from Beer Tree - I should say another great one! This stout is well balanced and very smooth. It doesn't taste boozy and the cocoa nibs, vanilla and pecan produce a perfect blend of malty deliciousness!! This is an excellent beer!

Canned 4/01/20 , let warm to 50F.
Dark, dark brown, not quite black, with 1 finger of deep tan head. Surprisingly substantial head, given the abv.
Smell is wet, charred wood, damp earth, chocolate liqueur , but much less sweet, slight vanilla , as from a bourbon barrel, and some well-roasted nuts (not quite burnt). The open can also gives off some light dry cocoa aroma.
Taste is milk chocolate, but less sweet, a non-specific roasted nut flavor (I'm getting something closer to almond than pecan), with some dark chocolate , light bitterness, a little tang, and liqueur/brandy-like alcohol come in late, with the pleasant bitterness lingering awhile.
Feel is quite oily, and thick. Light very, very fine carbonation tingle comes in midway, lending a slight drying effect.
Overall, just wonderful. Once again the brewers of Beer Tree show a deft touch , making a big adjunct stout that is an indulgent treat, but not cloyingly sweet. Enough bitterness and carbonation, that it is dangerously easy-drinking. Highly recommend.
