This beer combines 3 of our favorite hops for a DDH explosion of Michigan Copper, Citra and Galaxy. Pure Intentions pave the road to hell.

Yum. Right down the middle for a NEIPA.

Canned on 12/15/20; Consumed on 3/12/21.
A: Poured into a tulip glass. Body is hazy dark-yellow with a wisp of off-white head.
S: Pineapple meets herbal, green hops.
T: First impression: this one is definitely on the sweeter side of things. Toasted bread and brown sugar malt foundation is followed by overripe cantaloupe, some pineapple, and even some stone fruit (think ripe peaches and apricot).
M: Pretty heft in weight; a little on the slick side of things.
O: Not bad, not great - for my palate, it's a bit too sweet. May have been better when fresher.

Canned 9/1/20 "The Road To Hell". Can let sit out for 10-12 minutes before opening.
Hazy medium yellow, with a slight orange tint, and moderate creamy white head.
Smell is a very definite fresh pineapple aroma, upon popping the can open. From the glass I get peach pie filling, pineapple juice, honeydew melon, mixed citrus, and a slight bit of "fresh" biscuity malt. (wheat?) From the open can there is some lightly astringent peach pit & herbal aromas. (Guessing that is from 'Michigan Copper hops.)
Taste is mostly peach & pineapple, , with some sweet-ish orange and melon. There is also a light, slightly bitter herbal flavor, that shows up toward the finish. (Michigan Copper?) Light bitterness that lingers awhile after finish. Sweeter than the usual Beer Tree fare, but still not TOO sweet. Not cloying, by any means. Just in the middle range of the NEIPA spectrum, instead of the usual bitter side of it.
Feel is medium, and initially smooth, with moderate, very, very fine carbonation tingle showing up in the latter half, & lingering a bit. Some light lingering warmth at the back of the palate, after finish.
Overall, very good, and dangerously easy-drinking. Reminds me of Into The Forest, but slightly less citrusy, & slightly less bitter. Less than two weeks old, so I suspect that the heat will fade, and it will get smoother, more blended, and overall even better in 2-4 weeks. Looking forward to trying it then, if I can hold out that long. :)
