A NY-style Hefeweizen that the Playboy himself would be proud of.

Pours a pale yellow. Thin foam. Sweet aroma. Big spicy lemon and clove body. Fades quickly to a light bitterness. Good start but doesn't hold up all that well. Not bad but not great.

Canned 3/5/21
Lightly hazy pale yellow , with 1.5 finger white head, that leaves a ring and slight lacing.
Smell is the typical mix of banana extract, clove, and sweet floral aromas.
Taste is banana bread , but less sweet, clove, coriander, slight black pepper, and light bitterness. Rye bread crust, including slight tang, lingers after finish.
Feel is light-medium . with slight slickness left on the front of the tongue. Slightly drying finish. A bit of raspy carbonation prickle at the back of the throat. Guessing that fades with age. (I've had this before , after it's been on tap 2-3 weeks) (Original rating : 3.75)
Having it again 7/16/21 : Soft feel with light , very, very fine carbonation tingle.
Overall, a nice break from IPAs. I think the rye adds something worthwhile, so makes it slightly better than it would be. Nothing wow, but pretty good. (Original rating : 4.0 | 7/16/21 : 4.25)
