A: Pale golden hue that looks rather clear. Some fine particulate matter dims the brightness and gives it quite a bit of turbidity; hazy without being opaque. Longstanding, white foam head.

S: Earth: papaya, green banana leaf. Tangerine slices, pineapple smoothie; oats and golden raisin.

M: Moderate-high carbonation dampens the smoothness. Somewhat pillowy, but subpar for style.

T: Passionfruit, peach whip, pluot jam, sun-baked peach pie. Dried Turkish apricots...general dryness, clay and earth tagine -- dried currants; moderate-strong herbal bitterness, but it fades quick, replaced by a Wheatiesesque malt.

I’ve been off BA for a few years but this beer demanded that I return for a review. First off, if you’re not familiar with Beer Tree Brewing outside Binghamton NY you will be soon. EVERY offering I’ve had from them is outstanding. And this one raises the bar even higher. Sweet aroma of berries and tangerine. The taste follows. Beautiful lacing. And smooth? Did I mention the pillowy softness?
This is what all NEIPA’s should taste like. If you’re able to grab some…..you’re welcome!
