Canned 11/23/21. Let sit out for 45 minutes @ ~55F, before opening.
Opaque dirty-oil-brown, with two fingers of very fine tan head.
Smell is earthy semi-sweet chocolate, biscuity malt, light roasty nuts ,and from the open can, slight cherry candy (cordials) filling.
Taste is chocolate pudding/pie filling , graham cracker, and slight cherry pie filling, all less sweet than the actual thing.Light bitterness near finish. No booziness in the flavor.
Feel is medium, lightly slick/oily, with light, very very fine carbonation , that still has a bit of burn on the finish. Expect that will smooth-over in time.
Overall, pretty good, and does taste as it's described. It has promise, but hasn't quite reached it yet. I expect that it will , in time, but it's still a bit young, so hasn't gotten there yet. I have three more, so will wait a bit, and reevaluate , if need be.
[Edit 1/22/22] The alcohol/hop burn has disappeared . The cherry has faded , and seems like a bit of dried cherry. Graham cracker flavor has faded too. In light of that, I've bumped up Feel & Overall by .25, and dropped Taste by .25.
