Introducing Steel & Stave: our 8.4% NEIIPA collab with Drowned Lands Brewery, based in Warwick, NY. Brewed with a blend of 2-row barley, wheat, malted and flaked oats, Strata, and Revolution Blend Hops (Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka, Moteuka, and Pacific Sunrise). The result is a pillowy, hazy brew with notes of passionfruit, melon, and citrus.
This collaboration was brewed at both breweries using the same hops and a similar grain profile. We fermented the beer in stainless FVs, while the Drowned Lands fermented it in oak foeders. Which is how the beer's name came to be.
