16oz can from Tavour. Clear amber pour, thin creamy beige head. Malty aroma, caramel, mild sweetness. Taste is bready, malty, toffee, dry. Sweetness fades fast. Abrupt finish.

Pours a nice copper orange with a slight head. The aroma is malty and nutty. A very smooth taste with bitter and sweet working together to pull things off. Good mouthfeel, solid but not thick. A great example of the style.

Canned 2023/11/07 I think, a bit smudged
Pours a frothy semi creamy 1 finger off-white head with good retention, soapy lacing, slight clear with tons of sediment pale to orange tan color
Nose semi sweet golden malt with a bit of toasted biscuity malt, a hint of caramelization note but not actual caramel, toasted bread crust perhaps, hint of vanilla spice and fruity esters way in the background
Taste brings a bit of sweet golden malts up front, hint of caramelization but again not caramel directly, toasted mild biscuity malt, hint nutty, a bit of malt derived fruity ester notes almost plum or berry like but barely, some copper malt with a bit of bread crust, mild herbal hops in the background with lighter bitterness up front, then dries a bit on the finish and a big spicy earthy hop bitterness kicks in, semi crisp finish as well
Mouth is med bod, med carb
Overall pretty good, a well done altbier for an American brewery, some lagering characters with the crisp soft finish, good malt characters with mostly golden malts and some toasted biscuity notes (but no caramel sweet candy like), hops start light then really kick into gear late, this was quite nice. Hard to find a good representation of the style around here. I'll def have to try more from this brewery.

An average pour yielded a finger of creamy off-white foam with long retention and a lasting, soapy island. Shiny copper body, striking in sunlight.
Floral/herbal hops and toasted bready malt equally greet the nose. Potential sweetness is blended with toasted fresh grains.
Toasted and caramel malts leed the mildly bitter taste, almost semi-sweet. Apple, white grape and pear baked together add flavor but not sweetness. Hop flavor (mostly floral) builds to above average as the quick finish dries. A soft bitterness lingers.
Medium bodied with lots of carbonation, soft feel with well hidden alcohol. True to style, balanced and easy to quaff.

A: The beer is clear, but dark brownish red in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short off white head that left specks of lacing down the sides, a narrow collar around the edge and a thin film covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of bready and nutty malts are present in the nose along with hints of raisins.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the malty flavors are stronger and there are underlying notes of herbal hops, the latter of which lingers into the finish and also contributes a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels somewhat smooth on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a well crafted American representation of a German beer style. I particularly liked the contrasting flavors of malts and hops in the taste.
Serving type: can

From a crowler, filled four days ago.
Translucent deep brown, showing a ruby tint, when held to the light. Moderate, long-lasting pale tan head, that leave 1+fingers of lacing, a thin ring and surface sheet.
Smell is initially just a light aroma of wood, earth, and biscuity malt. As the head fades, and it warms a little, some lightly-sweet brown bread and slight nuttiness (pecan+walnut, +/-) show up.
Taste is brown bread crust, the light nuttiness in the aroma, and a hint of wood. Light noble hop spiciness comes in late, and lingers a bit. The barest hint of dried fig &/or prune shows up as it warms. If I wasn't analyzing for a review, I might not notice it. Light bitterness.
Feel is light-medium, with very, very fine , moderate carbonation tingle that finishes with a little bite. Drying finish that lingers.
Overall, I like it, and would have it again. I like the dryness, that is less sweet than a typical brown ale. Only my second altbier, so don't have standards to compare it to, nor can I say whether it is true-to-style. As a stand-alone beer, I can say that it is an easy-drinking "just-wanna-have-a-beer" type beer. :)
