16oz can filled at the brewery on 6/21/19 (opened 6-29-19).
1/4" mocha colored head on a black stout, saw some darkest brown highlights as poured from the can but none in the glass. Good retention at a solid cap after 3-4 minutes. No lace.
Wow, unexpected nose of creamy chocolate, vanilla, cream, light coffee. almond butter / nut butter. Very nice.
Vanilla, chocolate, coffee with cream. Cola. Roasty malt. Nutty. No acrid or charred flavors.
Smooth and velvety. Full body, low to medium carbonation. Maybe some lactose here?
Took me off guard, was expecting a typical stout...several steps above that is where this lands.
Delicious and with an ease of drinking that will definitely have it living up to it's name.
