16oz pour at the brewery on 2-9-20.
Copper colored beer with very good clarity. 1/4" off white head that falls quickly and hangs as a ring.
Nose is smooth coffee.
Coffee up front in the flavor with tangy, fruity notes second. Some citrus. Not enough Saison character to recognize the base beer initially. There is a hint of a yeasty/spicy character as the beer warms halfway or more through.
A tasty beer how it sits and for what it is (without worrying about defining a "style").
Light to medium body with medium carbonation.
Hard to rate as a Saison but as a coffee beer this is a smooth and tasty brew.
Good to very good.
