Black as night body topped with an outstandingly thick, frothy, khaki colored head; sticky globs of foam cling to the glass. Strong cocoa and milk chocolate aroma; initial waft of whiskey. Intense flavors of cocoa, charred grain with a slowly developing whiskey taste that never overpowers the rich grain malt and sweetness. Heavy mouthfeel, rich and creamy with a smooth velvet quality.

A most extraordinary barrel-aged Russian imperial stout, delivering some rich and savory cocoa and roasted grain base flavors, not too sweet, and with a deceivingly sly presence of whiskey. Heady and complex, and very satisfying.
