a unique beer that i would describe as jammy, not a thing i am accustomed to feeling in a beer that i believe is not fruited, which is to say this has a really great hop profile on it, both in nose and in taste. i taste a ton of fruit on it from watermelon to orange to grapefruit, and its golden and pretty from the tap, something special and different for sure. i wonder what hops they use, it seems to be different than a lot of what else is out there, and also refined to a degree i am not used to from such a new brewery, which makes this doubly impressive to me. the bitterness is middle of the road, it is there but it doesnt linger, and the whole thing drinks pretty easy overall. simple on the grain side, a light toast and a dry biscuit note, supporting the juicy hops really well. i liked everything about this place from the beers to the vibe to the artwork to the dude serving us. this is an nice beer, and these guys are a solid edition to the burgeoning craft scene in kansas city these days!
