Pours yellow with a thin tint of fog. Head is a finger in height and white in color. Aroma is light piney, citrusy, tangy. Pilsner malts set it off a little. It's lightly dank. It comes off like pulling the lid off a citrus kitchen cleaner. Flavor profile is orange, dank, pine, and tropical fruits. Pilsner malts clean and lean it up a little. It maintains a cleaner flavor than aroma. Mouth feel is harsh effervescence at the back followed by a lightly grainy texture. It has a medium thickness, which keeps it drinking crisp. Overall, nice notes, but leaves a little to be desired. Promising start.

this is actually an india pale lager, not ale, and its a good one, the first beer i have had from these guys and a very strong introduction. its clean and light, but not without body or malt character, a pils type and some pale barley, less is more sometimes and this is substantial enough in feel but dry and out of the way. the hops show some pineapple and some pine, green apple and white wine, lightly floral and minimally bitter, a perfectly refreshing complexion of flavors on a hot summery day, and even the lager yeast has a bit of character to it, drying and crackery and doughy and earthy and simple and sort of ricey and right. some starch to this, golden but not yellow in a taste sort of way, which is meaningful here. some nice hops too, pine cone and sap, new growth, fresh, some lemon zest too, east enough drinking but hearty in a way too. i thought this was awesome, i like the beer and i like their taproom, glad these guys have finally opened up. definitely check them out. a very well done hoppy lager!
