A beer designed with the non-hophead in mind. Light in body but not in flavor with crystal malt lending to a subtle sweetness and a caramel wheat finish. The name Amburlance is to honor our hard working neighbors and friends, the New Britain EMS. A goto beer for any occasion!

A: crystal clear; deep gold in color; with a fairly aggressive pour, less than a 1 finger ivory head that receded to a moderate tight collar; no lacing;

S: sweet malt and nutty;

T: nicely balanced - just a bit on the malty side;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: easy drinking; would pair well with a lot of foods;

Received a can in a trade and to my surprise discovered it was the best Amber Ale I've enjoyed in recent years. My only regret is that it's not distributed in my home area. I don't know much about Five Churches Brewing but I do know they did an excellent job with this product. I'll be looking for it when I'm next in CT and hope to possibly try a few of Five Churches other products
