Pours smooth with beautiful dark color. Smell is an aromatic dark chocolate. Taste starts at the front with dark chocolate followed by mix of chile and cinnamon and ends with a lingering espresso. The cumin seems tucked away amidst all the other flavors but the flavor is rich. This beer is perfect for chocolate beer lovers and focuses less on being sweet, and more on being a dark chocolate stout. With a 9% ABV, this beer drinks easy for an imperial stout and doesn't come with the boozy taste associated with most imperials. Cheers to you, you brilliant beer connoisseur. You've made a great choice.

Cracked open a pint can of Midnight Cowboy Mole Stout for a taste test. Emptied it into a clear Imperial pint glass. Before the pour came some inviting aromas reminiscent of chocolate cake, holiday cookies and warm spices. A dark brown almost the color of black coffee with some tan head and lacing complete the visual. An intriguing rich taste that's both malty, dry and not nearly as sweet as the nose suggested it would be. Hints of expresso, dark chocolate and roasted malts carry the taste. The finish is hoppy bitter with just a touch of a peppery influence. Absent is any reminder to the tongue that this brings a 9% ABV with it. Very well done.
