Tart Beats (Raspberry)

Dark reddish pink inside a full clear pint glass, it has virtually no head. It's opaque, but it isn't dull. The smell is troubling as it delivers as much lactose and wheat as it does the raspberry. There's a better ratio within the taste, but the milk solids still are a bit overdone. Of course, it lacks significant body as it's a wheat beer. But, there were hopes that the added dairy would mitigate that. Not so. Overall, it makes the raspberry taste diluted, as the lactose only manages to bring some sweetness. There's another complaint, it's almost devoid of tartness, not good for a brew with that aspect in its name. As a fruited wheat beer, no glass lacing was expected, nor was seen.
