Notes via stream of consciousness: Driponomics, eh? Is that what Trickle Down economics have come to these days? Or is it about the juice? Either way this is a hazy double IPA with mango and pineapple juice. It's a very hazy golden-orange in color beneath a thumb's width of off-white foam. The aroma is pretty bold and juicy with a tropical vibe. I don't specifically get either mango and pineapple, and at first I got orange, but we can just leave it at tropical. It's bright and welcoming. Two thumbs up so far and on to the taste... it's sweet but also somewhat acidic, and juicy. I'm finding some resins, mango, passionfruit, strawberry, orange, pineapple, pine, regular apple, sweetened pink grapefruit, and apricot. It's not that bitter but the acidity and alcohol help to dry it in the finish. How strong is this? Damn, 9%! I was thinking 7 or so; it doesn't seem like 9 at all. The finish is dry and fruity with a tropical blend thats similar to the aroma lingering. In the mouth it's medium bodied on the lower end and crisp. The head has held up well and there's some very nice lacing left behind on the glass. This is a little bit of a different take on the "juicy" IPA but it works, and if you're a fan of tropical juices you should certainly give it a shot.
