Deep amber in color, but light and refreshing in flavor! Our Mexican-style dark lager is made with flaked corn, dark wheat, and Vienna malts. Expect a clean, fresh flavor with a touch of breadiness and a hint of roast character.

16oz can purchased from the fridge as a 4-pack for $12.99 if memory serves me right. No canned on date; this is a limited edition beer that was probably canned within the past two months. It was released on Instagram on May 16, so yeah exactly two months ago!
Look: Nice medium to dark amber color with excellent clarity. There was a nice tan-colored head upon pouring, but it dissipated to almost nothing. Just a faint haze after pouring the bottom of the can.
Smell: It has very malty aromas, along with some dried fruit like cherries coming through. It also has allusions to crispness. It's also nutty and toasty. Only after almost finishing the pint am I picking up on that grainy, earthy stone-ground corn aroma.
Taste: It's pretty tasty - it's very malty with some herbal notes. It's actually quite light-bodied and very easy to drink, with a nice crispness on the finish. It has really tasty caramelly notes without being sweet. Also, very nice molasses note. Kettle corn vibes for sure. The finish is just mildly bitter, very pleasant. I also find it kind of hard to describe all of the flavor components, so there definitely is a bit of complexity here even though it is a pretty straightforward and simple Mexican -Style Dark Lager.
Feel: It's light to medium bodied, almost a bit watery. I wouldn't mind if it had a touch more carbonation also.
Overall: It's a very tasty Mexican-Style Dark Lager, and it's definitely distinct from a classic Vienna Lager style but not so far off. Well done, Love City!
