Hello! Anybody have more Nelson Sauvin out there? We are (I)n (S)earch (O)f a lot more for the next two years. If you have any for sale please contact us at [email protected]. K Thx.
Oh about this beer? It's a Hazy Double IPA we loaded up with Nelson and a touch of Citra at a total of 6.6 lbs/bbl. We got real lucky with the stash of quickly disappearing Nelson hops that we have. It has been producing notes of passion fruit, pineapple, lime and tangerine. We hope you enjoy this one because our Nelson inventory isn't going to last long.

Dang cranking out the awesome beer reviews from last September (2020).
Pours a hazy looking bright yellow with 2/3" dense white head and good retention. The aroma pops hard for Nelson, you get that dank diesel gooseberry hippie weed body odor tropical equator humid breathiness, light orange note. Very good smelling stuff.
Taste imparts a similar degree of Nelson awesomeness. Layers of orange, papaya, weed, concert body odor, pineapple and gooseberry. A malty sweetness I didn't see coming. To have that hint of sweetness here, you had to overcome a lush amount of hops. Its not like sugary sweetness, but its more than your prototypical west coast dipa that pushes a drier endgame.
The mouthfeel is very well done, makes this alcohol level poundable which is downright dangerous at times. Surprisingly creamy mouth feel moreso than a dry one. Not sure if the carbonation is down or its just that pillowy. But like everything else going on in the beer, its still pretty nice. Yet again another elite 1st tier Nelson banger. Love this hop and beer.

Sweet Nelson hoppiness on the nose on this one! Taste follows with nice nelson notes, but looks and drinks like an unfiltered west coast dipa instead of a hazy. It has good depth and feel, just not the "hazy" I was looking for

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
