Silky Slice is an imperial stout treated with Costa Rican vanilla beans and a combo of Nicaraguan and Guatamalan cacao nibs. During brew day we took a field trip to our cacao supplier Cru Chocolate in Roseville, CA to check out their operations and hand select the nibs we wanted to showcase in our beer. The result is an intense cacao nib flavor with earthy notes of roast, bitterness, caramel, and coffee.
