Picked up a 4 pack of this earlier in the year. Somehow writing the first review for this beer on BA.
Pours a clear golden color firmly in the west coast ipa vein. 1/2" white head. Its a good looking beer. The aroma has a nice bright crisp wintergreen meets papaya, weed, strawberry ice kind of feel to it.
Taste, now I'm kind of shocked this doesn't have Simcoe in it. That icy bitterness matched with lush strawberry cough strain smacks of it, but I think that is the beauty of the Strata hop here, it accentuates the Mosaic in a Simcoe like bittering way, but also with some of its own lushness going into that dual hop usage territory. The malt body is a simple brisk bouyancy, clean, west coast dry and minimal. I think this beer does everything well except for the can label design. Shit looks straight out of some Louis Vutton meets mall perfume kiosk.
