1st non subby doo rip off review of this beer on BA. Crazy what they jettisoned and then what they settled for.
Pours a clear golden yellow with good clarity as part of the brewer's flight at the source. 2/5" white head, decent retention, overall a good looking beer. Aroma of not amber, but golden waves of grain. Supplemented with an enjoyable, familiar Euro lager yeast. Smells goodman.
Taste continues the pushing of yeast and barley as the main constituents of taste, mouth feel and aroma. They are both done well and totally within the lines. The mouth feel tracks as the snappy namesake bears fruit (proverbially speaking) as there is indeed a crisp, snappy mouth feel, even if not as dry as some of their other, also very good lagers out there. There are times when a brewery is stroking their specialty Admiral Maltings and it doesn't really move the needle for me beyond a generic 2 row addition. Then there are times like this beer where I'm like, "das right, there it is, this definitely helps make the beer."
They call it minimally hopped, but I think of it as traditionally hopped as well. I'll buy it again if you can it up.

Ima be real: If you’re gonna call a beer “Snappy,” it better snap like biting into a Triscuit. Yet what we have here is more like biting into a white loaf of Wonder Bread. Now, it’s not all the bad, but it’s just too watery and it doesn’t have any bread-like taste/bite to it at all. It’s ok, but so was the roller rink in the 6th grade.
Peace!
