West Coast IPAs are staying alive...and we are loving it. Flocculative Tendencies is a West Coast Double IPA highly hopped with Citra and Simcoe hops at a rate of 4.4 lbs per bbl. Classic flavors of citrus and pine are abundant due to the extra large dose of dry hops. If you keep drinking them, we'll keep making them.

Here's another late Summer '21 beer from a beer run over the mountain. Pours a bronze color. 1/2" white head. Pretty good clarity. Aroma was orange, grapefruit rind and pine.

The taste had more malt flavors than expected, hit with kind of a woody caramel aspect. The hops continue doing the same things as in the aroma, not as dry as normal kind of Simcoe pine effect. Citra giving it the orange note. The rind aspect keeps the bittering units perceptible around the 65 ibu range. The alcohol isn't too big, but it is there more than a lot of the elite dipas do, even from Moksa itself. I would definitely say there is a lot more Simcoe in the taste and mouth feel than Citra.

I still enjoyed the beer and who doesn't love a good Suicidal Tendencies reference. Wasn't anywhere near the best dipa they or a lot of breweries can do in the area. That's ok, they can't all be zingers. Anyhoo, bought a 4 pack, this review is the average of all 4. Didn't really change much in the ~90days or so between first and last can.

Can dated 06/09/21 into Willi Belcher glass. Nose is candied citrus and floral. Taste follows the nose well, could use more bitterness on the finish for my palate and preferences. Medium bodied with medium carbonation, slick on the tongue and swallow. Forgettable DIPA, nothing close to their Sticky Sips. Glad I gifted several from my 4pk.

I’ve had some “dead grass” IPA’s before, but this dang sucker takes the cake for one of the “grassy-ests” one. Imagine Wile E. Coyote out in the desert brewing something up - yeah, pretty sure this would be it. Drier than my English 101 professor, and, well, that’s about it. I can understand why some people like this style of IPA, but as far as Raul’s feelings about them go, it remains to be an ambivalent thing.
