Picked this up in early Summer 2022, just now writing the first review for this beer on BA, November 2022. California has abandoned ship.
Pours a hazy yellow, leaning on the brighter side. 1/2" white head. As far as the hazy ipa (lulz regional fail guy designation) style, its an above average appearance for an ugly style. The aroma hits a large citrus Citra derived nod. Galaxy is here, but it seems like a 80/20 split based on smell and taste.
The taste brings on a lightly sweeter citrus aspect, so forgo those grapefruit rind C hop feels and think more of a sweeter tangerine Citra vibe. Its nice. Not their best but good. The Galaxy brings a light but varied tropical feel moreso than a pineapple bomb that Galaxy can be known for. Carbonation fine, bitterness good, doesn't fall into weak hazy trappings of too much oats and wheat, good mouth feel spot with the best of all ipa worlds.
