Singularity: JD06 is an Imperial Stout aged in a single Tennessee Whiskey barrel for 24 months before being bottled for you all to enjoy. The original barrel contents eventually became Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Full Proof Tennessee Straight Whiskey, bottled exclusively for a highly popular liquor store in Corona, California. The owner, Jazz, graciously donated the barrel to us to be filled with our barrel aging base stout and set aside until the beer exhibited tasting notes worthy of the Singularity Series.

Matte black with an unevenly tan, bubbly head of moderate height.

This at first seemed underwhelming on the tip of the tongue, kicking off with a sort of cola sweetness, but that then immediately folded unbelievably well into barrel vanillin and whisky with some chocolate backing and an insanely deep, brown sugar cinnamon exhale.

In other words, it reminded me of some of my first experiences with early Bourbon County Brand Stout bottles.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours motor oil black with very little brown head. The nose is incredible. Chocolate, bourbon, spice, oak, toffee, vanilla, bread, milk, prunes. Just insane. The taste is where this goes crazy. Tons of barrel right away. Big bourbon notes - toffee and vanilla. Some burnt sugar. Maple, chocolate, cherries, blackberries, figs, prunes, dates, coconut, honey, and some nice roasted malts. This is so intense and complex. Just love it. Mouthfeel is rich, creamy, and viscous. Overall, this is a masterpiece.
