Poured at fridge temp. Pours motor oil black with almost no head. The nose is incredible. Vanilla, toffee, bourbon, plums, and tons of malts. Wow - this is probably one of the most barrel-forward noses from a stout.
The taste is off the charts. Wow. The perfect marriage of smooth malts from the stout and huge bourbon notes from the barrel. The extending barrel aging has done wonders. Sometimes this makes the beer a bit too boozy, but this is a sweet spot. Toffee, raisins, chocolate, malt balls, vanilla. The mouthfeel is crazy thick and creamy. One of the best right here.
