Sweet chocolate covered raisins, hint of caramel malty, hint of rye whiskey barrel, and faint hint of red wine nose on this one! Taste follows with a sweet and red grape fruity, hint of toffee, and a red wine barrel finish. Whoa! Complex and it works!
4/25/2023 Review from the bottle! After some time sitting in the bottle, the color has become more appealing, more opaque and more barleywine-like. Also, there is a more pronounced dark fruit and chocolate covered cherry vibe on the nose versus having this on tap. And, on the palate, this is just as delicious with all the additions and barrels so well-integrated. Bumping my rating to reflect the bottle pour! Fantastic!
