Nelson Sauvin hops are some of our favorite to work with. Even better, Nelson Sauvin hops from Freestyle Hop Farms are possibly the best hops out there. We are fortunate to be able to select which lots from their farm to use in our beer, which makes our flavor profiles easy to predict. Add a little Taiheke hops from that same farm, and we have a beer that is extremely crushable and has soft tropical notes of pineapple, white wine and stone fruit.

Alright alright, this one pours golden into an Arcadia ipa pint glass. Good clarity, 3/4" white head. Good looking. The aroma kicks down the usual amount of pungent Nelson clocking in garlic, body odor, weed, overripe papaya, white grape funk, thankfully not of the uptown dimension.

Taste is a super easy pale ale body of minimal proportions alongside a dosing of Nelson hops of the double ipa quantity in a pale ale body. Crisp mouthfeel is not often something said with a Nelson hopped beer. I get the feeling the Taiheke hops were a required purchase from the same farm that produced the Nelson. Not sure they add anything here but weight and usage. Mistico ain't all that, man AEW nerds are the worst. But this is a slim pale ale packed with the dankest of hops. I'm totally down for more Nelson hopped pale ales. Or just pale ales, its summer and softball season.

I previously added this beer to this Next Glass owned database. I'm also generating content in the form of this beer's first ever review here.
