BB end 2005. Nice poorout giving a clear pale golden beer and a nice white head. Nicely spiced nose with litle yeast, dry grass and a orangecitrussy hint in the end. Overal very articenale but good. As is taste that's fresh and clean and is giving me good maltyness, dry caracter, litle flowery and that all in some alchol and with a medium bitter aftertaste. Very nicely dosed bitterness and also carbonation makes mouthfeel fine and balanced. Yes this one is IMO very enjoyable and well drinkable.

Presentation: Sampled during a specially arranged Brewery Visit to La Brasserie Du Brabant on Saturday 10th April, 2004 with fellow members of Wakefield CAMRA during their annual Easter Belgium Trip.
Served from a nicely chilled 750ml green glass bottle, only a small rectangular portrait orientated label held any clue to its contents. Labeled as La Cuvée Nico, 17 Juillet 2003, La bière des bébés. Listed at alc.8 and recommended to be served at 6°C (43°F).
Appearance: A lovely pale blonde golden body with a massive white pillowy head that raced up the Goblet when it was poured by the brewer. Looks superb.
Nose: Deeply inhaled it has some toasted malts and a nice refreshing Saaz bitterness in the aroma. Typically Blonde and very attractive.
Taste: More spritzy blonde-ness! Gorgeously smooth tastes to start with a nice hoppy feel. The middle has a strong feel but a balanced bitterness against some light toasted malt that always stays in the background.
Mouthfeel: The 8% alcohol is definitely bold but it is restrained in a balanced manner and supports this Blonde from start to finish. The finely tuned carbonation and small bubbles lend a velvet texture when it sits on the tongue.
Drinkability: Sinks quicker than the Titanic, this one goes down extremely well and is very drinkable. It has a silky soft touch that aids its smooth lines and liquid Teflon like quaffability.
Overall: Brewed especially for the birth of the brewers son Nico on July 17, 2003, this lager-like offering is a really a very nice talcum soft Blond Ale that has exceptional Drinkability. A special brew and a very rare find from a very new brewer, but one that will hopefully continue to be brewed and one that will seek a much wider availability as the years go by!
