Picked up at the brewery yesterday. I am pouring a cellar temp 16 oz can into my .5L dimple mug.
The beer pours a dark cola color with a fluffy beige head of 2 cm foaming up from a gentle pour.
This foam fades to a wispy surface layer and edging, some scattered lacing lines on my glass after each sip.
The aroma is some roasted malt notes and a bit of dark chocolate mixing with some light graininess and some earthy hop character. The roasted notes are leaning towards charred wood and is the dominant scent.
First sip reveals a medium to light body with crisp texture and fine tingly carbonation. Easy drinking physical traits.
Flavor is pretty mild with some toasted grain and roast notes and hints of dark chocolate. I get a little bit of earthy or grassy hop character and then the roast notes take over on the finish. Flavor profile is pretty mild throughout.
Easy drinking malt forward roasted beer. Nothing outstanding on this one, but decent.
